McCafferty Covered Bridge LOC: S.W. Fayetteville on McCafferty Rd (CR105) over E. Fork Little Miami River, Perry Twp [off US5O 2.3 mile S.W. jct OHl32 then S. .1mile] Truss Type: Howe (H ) Length: 157' | Built: 1870 ~Nice covered bridge ,in very good condition ~
Letterbox clues:
Best parking is on the West side of the bridge. Walk to to East side of the bridge. >From the S-E corner of the bridge take 6 paces due East (a pace= 2 steps). STOP ! Now look @ 190ยบ for about 3 paces (over the guard rail ) You will notice a fallen tree lying in a N-S direction. and a stump sticking up where it had broken off. Your McCafferty Bridge letterbox is resting under a couple of rocks next to the stump.
