Just off of Highway 89 on the west side of Lake Tahoe, you will find the Emerald Bay State Park. At the Eagle Point Campground this box is hidden. Note that this is a fee area, however there are several parking spots right at the gate and it's ok to walk in ... it's not far.
Locate the first set of bathrooms on the left. Behind the bathrooms on the left see the very large standing snag. Go look around the base of this snag and under rocks, find the Eagle Point Letterbox.
Planted in August 2006 by Cool Girl and APG Greetings (mother/daughter). Carved on location.
Addendum - April 2007 Relocated by Inigo:
"Had to relocate because covering would become firewood on opening day of campground. It is located just behind original location under downed barkless tree, 10 ft above stump under rock pile."
