COMMENTS: Another box in what will be a long series of Mom-isms --- those words of proverbial “wisdom” that we’ve all heard our (or someone else’s ) mother say while we were growing up. Or heaven forbid, that we have said ourselves
This box is hidden at Paul G. Duke Park on Riverside Drive. Directions to the Park:
To get there take Rt 41 (Main Street) to Adams Street and turn NORTH and follow it over the river and past the Hobart Arena (On your right) and Community Park (on your left) At the four way stop turn left onto Riverside Dr. (You will be passing the cemetery --- on right --- where Mom-isms # 2 and # 4 can be found)
Continue past the cemetery on Riverside Drive. A short distance up the road you will see the entrance to Duke Park on the left. Follow the main road around a bend and to the right. Go as far as you can on this road. It will bring you to a parking lot near some ball diamonds. (the ball fields are surrounded by chain link fencing)
Go to the far end of the parking lot. Look for a fitness trail station ( # 1) near the blacktop bike trail. Start here and walk north on the bike trail until you come to fitness station #2. Look uphill to a group of trees. Mom-ism # 3 lies in the hollow of one of these trees.
Again --- use caution. This is a pretty popular park. Rehide very carefully.
