Go to the very northwest corner of the Seattle city limits, at NW 145th ST and 3rd Ave. NW. Go through the acorn-topped gateposts - you can park here. Take the trail to the left. Look and listen for the many varieties of birds found here. Keep going down the trail past the cut logs. At the Y in the trail, go up to the left. There's a bench - sit and look around. There might be a bird nearby. Go 10 steps down the trail behind the bench. To your left is a little trail - be careful, it's steep. Go 15 steps down this little trail. While overlooking the clearing, on your left, is a slender multi-trunked maple. Look, there's a winter wren nested under the dead leaves in the hollow behind the tree.
