Call of the Wild: The Wolf

***Due to construction in the park the town has closed the park. I will list more info when the park reopens.

Placed: September 5, 2006
Terrain: Trail in the woods, some small hikes up hills and some rocky terrain, might have to hop over a fallen tree or branches- Dog Friendly-
Distance/time: about a mile 45 mins could be faster depending on how fast you are, includes stamp time

To get there take 146 to the Uxbridge/Douglas exit, head towards Uxbridge on route 16. Follow this road for a mile or so till you spot the Uxbridge police department on the left. Keep going past the church on your right. Soon you will spot Mary's Wood Street on your right, it comes up fast and can be easily missed. The street is across for Seagrave Street which seems to be an easier sign to spot. Take Mary's Wood Street up to a fork and take a right. Follow this to the end and you will see the park. (Arthur Taft Memorial Park)

Clues
Enter the park and walk along the pond to your left. Pass the playground to the right and take the trail on the left side up into the woods. Follow this trail till it comes to a fork. Go right. Follow this trail up and take a left turn when you spot another smaller trail to your right. this should bring you by the upper pond. Walk past the pond and spot a small trail that leads to a small clearing at the end of the pond. Spot a very large old oak to your left and a large flat shaped rock. You should see a very small faint trail leading down and then up a hill. Go up the hill and keep looking to your left for a Huge rock that is next to two meduim size oak trees. Between the oaks and the rock you will find your prize under leaves and sticks. Please re-hide well!

To get back to your car you can continue on this trail that will come to a opening that you should see a small old park grill. Take a left hear and follow the trail. This trail will bring you back to the first fork. Take a right to get back down to the playground and lower pond.

Don't forget to check out the Rock Lobster while you are in the park :)

Please e-mail us if there is any problems finding the wolf, or a problem with the box.
