Furnace Run Metro Park
3100 Brush Road, Richfield Township, Ohio
This is the 2nd of 8 boxes in the Fall Hiking Spree Series
The Daffodil trail is not accessed from the Furnace Run Park Area but just down the road. Check out your park map or visit the website for detailed directions.
Park and begin on the trail “Please don’t pick the flowers”. At the clearing with the bench head to the left along the ravine edge and continue on the trail where the pine trees grow. Ahead is another bench where two trees are “walking” on the trail. The path turns right and is somewhat hilly. Just after the hairpin turn you’ll see a group of fallen logs to the left. Walk over the natural bridge just up the rise you’ll see a large double trunk tree to the left with another tree just to it’s left. In the crotch of the double tree you’ll find the LB. Follow the ravine around and back to the “bench in the clearing” and left to your car.
Furnace Run LB is nearby at the main park entrance.
