7/28/10 UPDATE: Thanks to a note from a recent finder, the temporary barricades have been removed and access is now available once again! Have fun finding our box and please let us know when you find it and/or if it needs maintenance!

The House on the Rock, Hwy 23, just south of Spring Green, WI, has been evolving since the 1940’s and is called the most visited tourist attraction in Wisconsin! It is an awesome architectural masterpiece designed by Alex Jordan and built atop a 60-foot sandstone formation called Deer Shelter Rock. Even if you don’t have time to tour the attraction, just taking a whirl up the entrance drive is fun and filled with intriguing objects of interest! In 1985, the most talked about room addition at HOTR was added: The Infinity Room! The “room” has walls of glass (3,264 windows!) and juts out over the Wyoming Valley an incredible 218 feet and 156 feet high!
To see the End of Infinity, find the Scenic Overlook Pedestrian Bridge a little north of House on the Rock.
If traveling South on Hwy 23: Parking is on the West side of the highway;
If traveling North on Hwy 23: Parking is on the East side of the highway, then walk across the bridge.
Follow the sign to the Scenic Overlook via a paved path. Stop at the rock knee wall at the end of the path and in a westerly direction you’ll see the Infinity. Directly opposite this view is a pathway entering the woods. Take six steps in and on your left is a rock outcropping. What you seek is under a rock on the easterly end. Note: If seeking in winter during snowfall, please hide any tracks! Thanks : )
