Holland Cemetery

When Lancaster County, Nebraska was being formed, the first Hollanders came west. Because of the Homestead Act of 1862, land was available to them for only a small consideration. The southern part of Lancaster County appealed to the Hollanders. The land is rolling prairie, is well watered and is drained by several large creeks.

Directions: Located approximately 20 miles south of Lincoln. Take Hwy 77 south of Lincoln. Turn east on Hickman Road. Turn right or south on S. 68th Street. Go through Hickman to Panama Road. Turn left and go east on Panama Road. The cemetery is west of Holland on the south side of the road. Approximately 90th and Panama Road.

Enter the cemetery and park at the end of the lane. Straight south of the flag pole is a tree with six trunks. The box is in the crotch of the tree under branches and hedgeapples.
