The Clay Head Letterbox

(Block Island, Rhode Island)

The Gal Pals have been out to Block Island again. We planted the Clay Head Letterbox on October 5, 2002. Letterboxing is fabulous at any time out on the Block and particularly in October when the birding experience is phenomenal. Many migrants use Block Island as a stop over on their way south to warmer climes. But I digress-

The Clay Head Letterbox is an add-in to the Block Island Vacation Letterbox. Please follow the parking directions and
begin the hike heading out to the Clay Head Trail. If you will recall from the other clues, we asked you to remember to count your sets of wooden planks. At the second set on your way in, look directly to your left and you will see a make-shift stone wall. Hidden under one of those stones is the prize you seek. Please be considerate of the stone wall and be careful stamping in as this is right off the traiI. It doesn't get any easier than this !! Come on now, we love "New Kids on the Block" (sounds like another letterbox to be planted ) Have fun- we always do !!!
