Difficulty: 1
Terrain: 1 (flat and relatively level)
Time: 20 Minutes
Distance: Less than 1/2 mile round trip.

Location:
Flax Pond Recreation Area
South Yarmouth, MA

Directions from Route 6:
Take Exit 8, head south on Station Ave. towards South Yarmouth. Go left at the lights onto Whites Path. Drive to the end and take a right, bearing right onto North Main Street. Flax Pond Recreation Area will be a short distance on the right.

Parking:
Park in the lot across the road from the playground (Do not go through the gate to the main parking area).

Clues:
After parking your car, head back towards the main road. There is a trail leading into the woods on the right just after a green fire hydrant. Follow this trail for a few minutes and you will come to a fallen tree blocking your path. You will need to go around it or climb over it. If you are really short, you could try going under but I wouldn't recommend it.

Start counting steps from the fallen tree. Approximately 38 steps (or maybe 538 steps if you were short enough to go under the fallen tree), you should be able to see a "Danger Archery Range" sign about 25 feet off the right side of the trail. There will be a very large pine tree against the left side of the trail at this point.

From this tree, continue on the trail for approximately 20 step to a cluster of 4 trees on the left side of the trail. The letterbox is hidden in the center of this cluster.

This is so close to the trail it is sure to be noticed by muggles if it isn't rehidden properly so please rehide and bless it with a few leaves and sticks.

Needless to say, just go back the way you came in to return to your car.
