Easy walk and easy clues

From Canaan Valley, head South on route 32
Go left on East Lanesville Road
Continue to the top of Dolly Sods
Drive along the top of mountain past the Scenic Area and on to Red Creek Campground
On the opposite side of the road from the campground is a parking area.
Heading east out of this parking area is a well established trail.
Follow this about 100 paces (in other words to the end) to a warning sign and check out the Allegany Front Migration Observatory Bird Banding Station.
Now return to warning sign and take 60 paces back towards your car.
Before the trail begins large turn to the left notice many rocks in a grove of various types of trees.
Go 6 or so steps to multi branched rough looking maple tree.
Behind the tree and under a hopefully unsuspicious looking pile of rocks, is what you seek.
