INTRO & THANK YOUS:

This was the first box planted and then replanted and then recently replanted again by the three furies. Ryan was kind enough to allow us to piggyback on his Los Osos Oaks location. Thank you Ryan. Thank you also to Sir Balthazar and Juggler Mouse for their letterboxing advice.

This is Crone Box 2. We have planted it in a slightly different place utilizing more creative clues.

Clues:
Take the 101 to Los Osos Valley Rd. and head towards the car lots. Follow the road until it takes you into farm country. Before you get to the city of Los Osos on the left hand side of the road, is a small parking lot leading into a forested area (the Los Osos Oaks). Park and begin your journey into the mystical forest (watch for poison oak and ivy and low hanging branches).

As you enter the forested area, cross the bridge over the creek. The first thing you see is the big greeter tree. Continue to take the path forward until you get to the sign, which lists Oak View Trail, Chumash Loop Trail, and Los Osos Creek Trail. Take the Oak View Trail. Go forward on the trail for approximately 80 paces. You should now be at a small passageway of trees. If you turn around you may see the remnants of a skull carved in a tree, but continue forward. Proceed down the path until you reach a heavily forested area where the trees are dripping with tree moss.

Stay on the main trail. Do not get pixie-led. Proceed forward until you pass the tree graveyard. Continue forward until you reach the Guardian twin trees, reaching out like fingers emerging from the ground. Look to the left of the guardian trees and you will see an old gnarled crone tree. Look to the foot of the tree and open the door.

If you remain on the trail and you have to duck your head under a tree you have gone too far. If you did not heed our last warning and come upon forks in the road with the signs pointing towards the other trails you have gone too far. Turn around and try again.
