Equipment Needed: Letterboxing equipment
Difficulty: Easy
Time 20 minutes

This box was placed with my father-in-laws help to commemorate his 47 years of service working for the Hoover company. Not a boxer yet, but I think I've won him over with this nifty stamp!

Driving Directions:

Take exit #111 off I-77 toward North Canton/Portage Street/Canal Fulton. Turn left at the bottom of the ramp onto Portage Street. Go 1.7 miles to Ream Street NW, take it right. Turn left on Maple Street, (you’ll see the Hoover factory on your left; you’re getting close) go a little over a mile to Hoover Park on your left. Be careful, it is not the first Hoover Community Recreation Complex, but the second, Hoover Park. You will see a large brown sign spanning the drive into the park. It is after the football and soccer fields.

Drive through the tunnel of trees. Turn right before the parking lot changes to single spaces. You will see a sign that says “Kitchen No. 2” and “Parking Lot No. 2”. This is where you’re headed.

Clues:

1. From the parking lot take the gravel path North towards a walking path outside the park.

2. Right before you reach the path turn left, and follow along the creek heading toward the bridge.

3. From the bridge you will be going 330° towards a bent tree (you might not be able to see the bend from this angle). Take 40 single-stepped paces to this tree and look in the back door.

4. The box is under the rock. Make sure you recover this box really well. It does not need to be seen; we will know it’s there.
