Approximate Time: 20 minutes plus stamping time.
Clue Difficulty: Steep and rocky can be slippery when wet
Hike Difficulty: Easy
Fee: $2.00
((((***** - MOUNTIAN ROAD CLOSED FOR SKIING TILL SPRING, THIS BOX WILL BE UPDATED AT THAT TIME - *****))))
*********** Since we first planted this box, the state has started charging a $2.00 fee to drive up the mountain, there is one box there now, we don't plan to plant another till spring *************
Find your way to the summit parking lot on top of Mt Wachusett.
After parking, look for the Mt House Trail... Follow the trail to the paved road. Once you cross the road, walk to the bent oak tree, about 19 paces (pace= step)on the left side of the trail.
Turn to your right, you will see a group of large flat rocks, walk to the middle of the rocks and turn to your right.
Looking on the ground, about 3 feet from where you are standing, you will find a small "cave," that is where you will find the box.
There is a first finders prize...
