Difficulty: easy, trail walking
Placed: September 8, 2002 by franzsolo...& Min Dawg ! (motofranz@webtv.net )

Directions:
From I-275 exit Rt. 125 east for 10 miles until you come to Rt. 222.
Turn left. Continue on 222 for a short distance (approx. 1 mile ) The entrance to Wm Harsha Dam & Lake will be on your right.( Slade Road.)

Clues:
At the East end of the dam find the park Visitors Center parking lot.
Locate the Visitors Center entrance sign across the street from the parking lot.
Then find the trail head to the Deer Ridge Trail.
After crossing over the little foot bridge go West down the trail.
Take the first trail on your right at 260º.
You will pass a few 4x4 post with numbers on them. After # 7 you will come to a wooden foot bridge.
STOP !
At the end of the bridge and take a reading of 320º and walk in that direction toward a tree with a funny looking root system .
About 9 paces. (a pace = 2 steps ; about 5 feet )
Thanks ,
franzsolo...
