Some people weren't nice and messed with this box. The only thing left was the log book which is really cool after all that box has been through. It wasn't a good spot and have had many problems with it so we will retire it now :( But it was fun while it lasted!
This box was placed by KFamily for Girl Scout Troop #753 of Portsmouth. This past summer the girls had their bridging ceremony. Before the ceremony they were Brownies as they walked under the rainbow at the ceremony they became Juniors. So we thought it was fitting to put a rainbow stamp in the box. (Sorry it is store bought. I tried to hand carve it and it was a disaster). Originally it was going in place just for the girls to letterbox, then I thought why not leave it for others too?
So here goes...
Take I-664 to Exit 11-B Portsmouth Blvd. Turn right at the big cheese across from the shell. Take the first left. Take an immediate right onto Marie Olson Dr.
Once inside the gates, on the right you will see the 4 legged animal park. At the far end of this park, park your car there, walk across the street.
There will be an entrance to a walking/hiking trail. Enter the trail there.
Continue straight on this trail until you have a choice then make a right.
Continue again until you have a choice then go left.
You will make the next right.
Then the trail will bear left.
You will then walk through a dip in the trail.
Look to the right... and under the earth. There you will find the rainbow box of Troop #753.
Please re hide well, if you don’t someone who was not invited may be able to see it. Thanks for stopping by!
