About 10 years ago, when we lived in the Mac-Groveland area of St. Paul our backyard was ruled by a squirrel that got into everything, causing much mischief and mayhem. My wife named him (or her) the Brat.
We are certain that (s)he or its descendents hopped on the moving van when we moved to Inver Grove Heights 8 years ago, and have continued the tradition of great mischief.
In an attempt to relocate the squirrel, I created a letterbox dedicated to the Brat and planted it about 50 miles from home, soooo...
Proceed to William O'Brien State Park, and head down to the picnic grounds. Park at the far end of the lot by the picnic shelter and amphitheater. Take the Riverside trail until you come to twin side-by-side benches. Oops, you have gone too far. Turn around and go back 15 paces (30 steps) and on your right you will see a large Oak tree (squirrel theme, you know) which leans to the left. Just to the right on the ground angling away from the oak is a dead tree trunk which is hollow. At the far end in the hollow is the new home of the Brat.
