MISSING - WILL NOT BE REPLACED

You will need to bring your own pen/pencil and stamp pad, green would be a good color. The size of the logbook is about 2.5” X 6”. Log in and return the box to it's location and cover it back over. Always take precautions such as prodding with a stick and/or wearing gloves before reaching into dark crevasses and holes. The logbook was replaced 8-27-07 during routine maintenance.

This lettterbox is located in Chief Shemauger Park in Urbana. The two ball diamonds in the park are seperated by an area of trees. This area of trees, south of the asphalt sidewalk and north of the dense woods is where the letterbox is hidden. It is hidden in the base of a tree. I will give the Genus (first part of it’s Latin name) of all the trees that the box is NOT hidden in. For example; if I say it is NOT in “Acer” that would include Acer rubrum (Red Maple), Acer platanoides (Norway Maple), Acer negundo (Boxelder ), Acer sacharum (Sugar Maple) and every other tree that starts with “Acer”. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

The letterbox is NOT in these trees.
Also, there is a couple of bushes in this area, it is NOT in any of the bushes.

Acer
Quercus
Fraxinus
Malus
Platanus
Liquidambar
Ulmus
Zelkova
Crataegus
Liriodendron
Prunus
Catalpa
Ailanthus
