Juliette Gordon Lowe is the founder of Girl Scouting. She made her own clothes when she was a child. She helped write the first Girl Scout handbook. She was born in Savannah, Georgia on OCTOBER 31, 1860. She was given the nickname Daisy. She painted china and performed skits with her friends. She had three sisters and two brothers. She was the second oldest. She loved art. She was deaf in one ear because she got a grain of rice in her ear at her wedding. Her husband was named William. They lived in both England and Scotland. She loved animals and brought many of them home. In 1927 Daisy died. She was 66 years old.
