Tried feet is located in Cook's Forest near a local spring. Cook's Forest is located in Clarion, Forest and Jefferson counties. From the east take exit 13 off Interstate Route 80 then PA Route 36 North, directly to the park in Cooksburg. From the west take exit 8 off Interstate Route 80 then take PA Route 66 North to Leeper. From Leeper follow PA Route 36 South, 7 miles to the park.

As you are traveling through the forest on Rt 36 look for Slocum Springs road. If you are coming from I 80 it is on the left hand side of the rd. past Clarion River. If you are coming from Tionesta etc. it will be on your right before the river. The spring offers a fresh cold drink of spring water so be sure to bring your drink bottles. What you are looking for is located in the woods above the spring. By the spring there is a small bridge. If you look up in the woods from that bridge you will see a huge fallen down tree. You will find your treasure there. It is located by the roots of that fallen down tree. The terrain is a little rough so be careful. Please be sure to place everything back as you found it in the bags. I have rocks piled on top of the box please make sure you put them back as well. I stay at Ridge camp grounds every year up the road and across the street which I highly recommend if you are looking for someplace to stay. Also while you are in Cooks Forest be sure to go across the street from Ridge Campground to the Fire tower. There are 2 other letterboxes placed by someone else there. Happy searching.
