CB's Great Pumpkin Box
Location: Andover, MA, Haggett’s Pond Conservation Land, Essex County
Directions: Take Rt. 133 to the light at the intersection of 133 and Haggett’s pond rd. Take left or right at light (depending on if coming from 495 or 93) to drive past Barron’s Country Store and follow the shore of Haggett’s Pond (pond will be on your right) for @ 2/10 mile. On your left will be a little parking area and across the street is the entrance to the trails.
Terrain: easy – flat and winding over a few hills, ½ hour round trip.
Clues: bring compass and pens
Stamp: Hand carved.
Clues: Cross the street from the parking area and follow main trail until you come upon an intersection with a large trail on your left and right – take the right. Follow the trail along the water until you arrive at the second beach. Enjoy the water view! Turn around and there you will see a downed tree in the 270-degree direction. Follow this tree to near the end and you will find your fruit!
