This is our first letterbox hide so feedback will be welcomed and appreciated.

The Old French Fort is located on St. Francis Rd just east of Gougar Rd. If coming from Gougar you will find a small parking lot on the north (left) side of the street.

Park the car and notice the large rock next to the entrance. This is where you will start. Take the time to read the information about the old fort that was once here. From the rock, look directly north across the parking lot. You will see a trail. Follow that trail as it winds through the woods. Soon you will come to a gully. Follow the path down and across the bridge, then up the slope and continue on. Soon you will come to a clearing. There on the path will you see a stone marker on your left. Stop and check it out. Continue on the path back into the woods. The path with come to a tree that looks like a "V". Take the path to the right. After a short walk, the path will meet a gravel drive. Stop eight (8) steps short of the gravel and look to the left as your face the drive. Approx. 10 steps away you will see a hollow, waist high stump. That is where you will find the box.

There is no ink pad in the box any color you choose is fine.

Hope you enjoyed the walk and area.
