Chadron State Park
Black Hills Overlook
(Nebraska Sate Park License Required)
Equipment Needed: pen, stamp, ink, logbook, NE State park license
Difficulty: Easy
Potential Hazards: rattlesnakes, poison ivy, spiders, ticks, cactus, steep inclines off trail
Begin at the Black Hills Overlook.
(Follow the designated trail.)
Off to the right (East) is another path...
take it, lest you fail.
Walk past the cattle guard,
(to your left side it will be)
follow the trail until
it makes a "T".
Take off towards the left (North) trail
and there you will find,
a tall hollow stump
just off to your right.
Look down inside,
there your treasure will be.
Leave your mark in the book
for all others to see.
Then put it back nicely,
sealed up watertight,
tucked just down inside
for someone else to find.
