Miracle: After the fire of July 26, 2010, I checked the box on Thanksgiving weekend. The bush, rock cairn and box are still there. The area is blackened and ashy but the trail leads to some nice pools at the creek. Oct 5, 2015 the box might be gone. I will check it out and revise clues.

This letterbox was planted for Halloween 2006 specifically for Mountain River Adventures. Every year MRA has a 'Fat Tire' festival here in Kernville at the end of October.

From the end of Burlando Rd. take the wide trail along the
the white fence on each side. Do not go the way of the Whiskey.

From an upright wooden pole at a trail intersection the post may be gone but the intersection is still clear). The letterbox will be found under some movable rocks at the base of a lone bush at 30 degrees and 11 steps from the post.

You can see a split mountain at 250 degrees from the post.
