NOTE:
this letterbox has been reported missing by thelast few boxers. 7/11/07Find Gallipolis Ohio on the Ohio River in the south east part of the state where Oh. RT. 7 crosses under OH Rt. 35 just before 35 crosses over the Ohio River. From a point under the Oh 35 Bridge where it crosses over Oh 7, go down river 2.5 miles looking for Mill Creek Dr. just before the First Church Of The Nazarene. Turn right and go 3/10 mile toward the Cliff Side Golf Course and before reaching the entrance look in wonderment at the three tall stone structures on the right. Turn left into the park parking area and park close to the park shelter. Go to the Shelter then go across the road you came on, to the Tall Structure directly across from the shelter. You can go down by the middle structure and read the plaque about what these things are or you can go around to the South East corner(note: A boxer sent this note..... By the way, that is the southwest corner of the tower, not southeast) of this one and (UNOBSERVED PLEASE ) look at the corner where it meets the ground. When ready, remove the slivers of rock and mortar from this crack and remove the letter pouch and I suggest taking it back to your car for stamping. When done please place the log book in one baggie and seal it completely then put that baggie and the stamp in the other baggie and seal the zippers completely to keep the log book dry (I stress this because I have had several logs ruined due to the zippers being left unsealed and the log gets wet.....brings tears due to the effort I put into making these letterboxes). After sealing them well please return them to their pouch and the crack and replace the rock and mortar and I hope you can find time at home to drop me a line and tell me your results.....which I hope included a good time. Thanks for your Help........ Safari Man. and check out the box just up river here in Gallipolis at the Rest Stop on RT. 7 (there are some interesting plaques and items from the actual Silver Bridge) . There is also another box 15 miles up river in Pomeroy (Meigs County).
