This box is planted to celebrate the very lovely warm days we have had all fall, where we have enjoyed the gorgeous colors of the leaves and the sunny days for hiking. It is located off Rte. 126 in Bellingham.

Occassionally we would see people walking along a "Closed Road" and wonder what was up there! Finally we hike up there and found a great spot for a letterbox. So, as you go down 126 you need to search for the sign that says "closed road" and park your car. Walk around the gate and up the path/road. You will see two large concrete blocks on your right. Turn right off the path, and you will see two trees that make a huge X. Turn to your left and spy a stump that looks like a huge deer head. walk to it and find your treasure! Any time of year you should find a bit of Fall with a Pinch of Summer. And do watch for dog droppings as this seems to be a favorite dog-walking site.
