Legend has it that one day, in search of a letterbox, two letterboxers found something unusual. You see, instead of a letterbox, they found a hillside covered in old vacuums. Seeming like a Vacuum Holocaust. Was this the work of vengeful ex-vacuum repairmen? aliens? the FBI? desparate housewives? The origin of these vacuums remain unknown. Yet the sadness still hoovers, I mean, hovers over this desolate place. A box was placed in their memory, so that everyone can see that it sucks to suck.

Directions:
From Rt. 2 East, take the first right after the French King Bridge in Gill, Dorsey Rd.
From Rt. 2 West, take the second left after you pass the bowling alley on the right in Erving. Be VERY careful when making this turn!

Follow the road down and park in the nook to the right just after you have passed under the bridge. Follow the guardrail along the downhill side of the road until you see a path that goes down between the bridge's two supports. Climb down the path to the cement block to the left. Climb up and look to your left. On the hillside lies the Valley of the Deceased Vacuums. Amongst the carnage you will see a tree that is larger and stands out from the other trees. Some say that under this tree is where the vacuums stayed until they were executed one by one, others say this is where the vacuums were hanged, and some others say this tree had nothing to do with it... Anyways, at the base of the tree, under a pile of rocks, you will find the box. Beware, for the spirits of the vacuums are still said to haunt the hillside, forever looking for an outlet...
