Oct 5, 2009 - box replanted and available.

Nestled between McMinnville and Sparta in Warren County Tennessee, you will find the scenic Rock Island State Park.

From McMinnville, travel East on HWY 70S/1 toward Sparta. Look for brown signs for Rock Island State Park. Turn left toward the community of Rock Island. Turn left under the arch and follow 287 across the river. After you cross, look for the old mill on the right. On the left is the "Spring Castle", know by our family as the witch's castle. Park in the lot just past the mill. Recross the street to the castle area. Travel up the stairs to the watch tower. Check out the scenery. Climb back down and find the rules and regulations tree. Face the tree and look to the left. About 10-12 feet to the left, uphill, you will find a twin tree. You will find the stamp at the base of the tree. Rehide and cover with leaves and sticks.

Warning! This is a popular area for weddings. It may be necessary to visit the park, falls, or dam before you can get access to the castle.

Another box awaits you at the moonshine trail.
Keep an eye out for other clues to future boxes in this area.
