This box is in the Red Bug Slough Preserve. Park is off of Beneva Rd. Between Clark Rd. and Proctor Rd. Park and play on the playground. Afterwards, head North towards covered picnic table, past the butterfly garden. Continue down main path. Follow path straight until you see the lake. You will go past another covered picnic table. Keep on going towards West side of lake. You will see 2 trash cans on either side of lone palm tree, keep on following lake. Watch carefully, you will see a foot path. Follow path West, go 30 steps. On the right side you will see a group of trees, in the group you will see the bottom half of an old dead tree leaning on a palm tree. Go around to the left side of the tree (burned side). Box is at the base of dead tree under branches. There are many kids that play here, please cover back up completely. Make sure no one is watching you.
Red bug slough is a very family friendly park. Bring your dog for a run. Bring your fishing pole, or a kite. Watch for large wild birds. Please beware though, there are many red ant piles.
Checked june 5 2007 box was stolen. Will replace ASAP
