Box #1 reported misses. Others in tact.

“Candy Land Series”
This series was conceived and planned by my ten-year-old daughter, trail name : "Big Bessie". She carved the stamps from erasers, prepared the boxes, planted them and typed the clues.

Echo Lake Park is owned and operated by Henrico County. It's located in the northern part of the county on Springfield Road (Rt. 157), approximately one mile west of Staples Mill Road (Rt. 33). This beautiful 12-acre lake, which contains largemouth bass, bluegill, redear sunfish, and channel catfish, is the main attraction at this park. Although no boats are allowed, a gravel path encircles the entire lake, enabling anglers to access the entire shoreline. There is a fishing pier, playground, and picnic shelter available for family or group-use year-round. http://www.co.henrico.va.us/rec/Park_Maps/Echo_Lake_Park.pdf

Park in the lot and look for the bridge to the right.

Box #1
Walk across the bridge. At the end of the bridge go left and walk along the gravel path that is closest to the lake. You will pass a White Oak on your right. Continue on the path, up a hill and look to your right for a large stump. There is an opening in the brush just past the stump you can cut through to get to stump. Inside the stump box #1 will be awaiting for you. Re-hide well please.

Box #2
Keep on the trail and you will pass a Mockernut Hickory on your right. There will be a trashcan on your left off the path. Stay on the path and take about 30 steps past the trashcan. You should end up at kind of a clearing in the brush. Look uphill on the right and you will see a holly tree on you right. Past the holly bush is a thick stump, lying on its side. All the way to the right end of the stump, under the stump, you will find box #2. Re-hide well please.

Box #3
Return to the path and go right. You will go up a slight incline. On the left are some trees fallen in the water. On the right are “Twin Trees” with a small holly in front of them. Behind the twins is a decaying stump. Inside the stump is Box #3.

Box #4
Continue on the gravel path in the same direction around the lake. You will see a bench on the right and a Tulip poplar on the right as well. Be sure to notice the huge 4-trunked tree on the left! Cross the little stream and the wooden boardwalk. As you come off the boardwalk look for the circle of trees about 15 steps ahead. Stop in the circle and look to your left. There is a thin tree with a wide base and a circular hole at the bottom. On the backside of this tree is box #4. There is a small holly standing by.
