What better day to plant a turkey than on Thanksgiving Day in the rain.

Easy hike in Wilcox Park.
Directions: Route 189 (north or south) take the Tariffville exit to St. Andrews cemetery, go left on Hoskins Road for just under a mile. Parking lot is at the silver gate just before the park sign (which you can only see the back of).
Address of park is officially 71 Hoskins Road, Bloomfield.

Clues: after parking your car, walk up the paved path towards the yellow house. Go straight past the house, through the chain gate, straight past picnic tables and with the challenge course on your left, enter the woods straight ahead near a large downed tree, watching for yellow blazes. The trail is blazed in yellow the whole way. Go under powerlines staying on yellow until it comes to the blue Metacomet Trail, take a few steps to the right until you see a large layered rock on the left. Behind this beast and under another smaller ledge (beside of a log) a turkey is lurking.
