THIS BOX IS MISSING IN ACTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lake View Cemetery, Cleveland’s outdoor museum and arboretum, consists of 285 acres of twisting, turning roads that wind through awesome examples of every kind of architecture, nestled among beautifully kept gardens. It is definitely a must-see! If you plan to hunt for this letterbox, try to schedule at least an hour in addition to your driving time, and if you are a photographer, be SURE to bring your camera. There is nothing morbid or spooky about this place; as soon as you enter the gate, you will find yourself in another world where serenity reigns.
Don't be embarrassed if you get lost here; I do, almost every time I visit! Just keep circling and watching for a sign telling the way to the gate :)

To get to here, take I 90 to the Martin Luther King exit. Drive south through Rockefeller park and University Circle to Euclid Avenue. Turn left and drive about 1 mile; shortly after the traffic light at Mayfield Road, you will see the iron gates of Lake View’s entrance on your right.

This will be a driving and walking adventure. After entering the gate, drive straight ahead on Garfield Road. Soon you will come to Lake Road; turn left here, then right on Chapel Road. You can see the large pointed roof of the James A. Garfield Monument up ahead. When you come to a large slab of marble with the name CORRIGAN on it on the right side next to the road, turn left down the lane which is between Sec. 10 and Sec. 6.
Rounding the bend, there will be a row of crypts on your right and the Lake View Dam straight ahead. Check it out if you want to; it is said to be the largest concrete-filled dam east of the Mississippi. You can leave your car at the junction where a road heads off to the left away from the crypts. Now you will get out and walk.

Cross the bridge and walk along the gravel road until you come to a path on your left. Follow this path until it comes to a “T”. You will see a wooden bridge on the left; you will NOT cross this bridge, but will turn to the right. As you walk, a lake will be visible on your left (if it's winter and the plants aren't too high). When you see a path leading towards the water, take it. You will pass a marble bench on your right and one on your left. Soon you will come to another marble bench with the name SYLVIA C. BEAUPAIN on it. Shortly after this, the path again comes to a T. Ahead and a little to the left there is a large old tree on the other side of the "T". You will find the letterbox in one of the hollows formed by its roots, under 2 rocks and sticks.

To return, you can now cross that wooden bridge, then turn left and walk until the path ends at the open grassy area, where you will see your car. Now drive back over the first bridge and continue on the gravel road, past still more impressive crypts and monuments, until it ends at Chapel Road. Turn right if you want to leave via the Euclid Ave. gate where you came in.
