Native Son # 7 is replanted and available until New Year's Day 2007.
Louis Charpentier is "Mr. Christmas" to the people of Leominster. For over 50 years he has been decorating his front lawn with a display of holiday figures that he has carved out of styrofoam. Louis will celebrate his 96th birthday on Dec. 10.
To find the box, go to 522 Merriam Avenue in Leominster. Look for the "greatest gift of all", the box is hidden behind it.
Please take a minute to sign the guest book near the front steps and if you happen to see the gentleman with the bowtie say hello to Native Son #7, Louis Charpentier.
At St. Cecilia's Church on Mechanic Street in Leominster you can view one of his masterpieces carved out of wood, the crucifix above the main altar.
