UPDATE 6/3/09: Pulled due to missing stamp. Will re-carve and replace soon!

The Wapiti is an amazing creature indigenous to the Pacific Northwest. In fact, you may see a few of these noble animals on your way to this box.

To find this box, you will need to take Highway 207 South from Heppner, Oregon. Continue through the community of Ruggs and then the ghost town of Hardman before the highway enters into a more heavily forested region. Be on the lookout for signs marking the Morrow County OHV Park. Approximately 1 mile past the turnoff for the OHV Park you will encounter a greeting to the Umatilla National Forest (just past milepost 23). Park here and look at the base on the far right end. The metal box is tucked under rocks and debris.

Be aware that this is a remote section of Hwy 207 and may be inaccessible during winter months due to snow and ice. Please check road conditions before heading out to this area!
