This box is likely lost but I haven't had a chance to go check.

There are two islands of plantings in the parking lot directly in front of the Tigard Value Village. One of the islands has a dirt spot that Pico thinks is a very good service dog toilet. The other island has one tree and an exit sign, the box is in this island in/under the shrub on the left side of tree as you face Value Village. I've been reminded that not everyone has a built-in excuse to be sniffing around in bushes and that this is a very exposed area. We hid the box after dark and you could probably find it after dark as well.

Instead of a traditional stamp, this box has an object we picked up on tonight's trip to Value Village with raised images that can be used as a stamp, I think you may need pigment ink to get a decent image from this item. I also threw in a store bought stamp that was on the floor of my car and related to the theme - I think it came from a thrift store too but it might be from the dollar rack somewhere. Everything else - the box, the journal, the First Finders prize - also came from tonight's visit to Value Village.

Please let me know the status of this box! It's in a location that I think will either be very secure or disappear quickly with no middle ground.

The question arises, if this is Thrift Stores #2, where is Thrift Stores #1. Right now, it's in my garage waiting for me to find a box at that store that is the right size to hold the stamp and journal and be hidden in one of the possible spots. The whole series was inspired by my finding a hand-carved stamp that store. This series will be sets of boxes, journals and stamps (or stamp materials) found at different thrift stores, as chance leads me to them.

If you like thrift stores, you may also want to check out Letterboox, which is in a really cool little thrift store.
