BOX IS UNDER A FALLEN TREE AND CAN NOT BE REACHED. WILL RECARVE SOON. SORRY!

In the 1800s Wenham Lake was famous for its ice, reputed to be Queen Victoria's favorite. Today it is a water supply operated by the Salem and Beverly Water Supply Board.

To find the Royal Ice Letterbox you must first find the Phillips Nature Preserve Letterbox.

Starting from the Phillips Nature Preserve Letterbox continue to follow the path up the hill. Staying on the ridge pass the wooden bench then down hill to where paths merge. Continue forward up another small hill following shoreline. Take the narrow path to the right to stay on ridge. Near the top of the ridge look left for a dead tree still standing with arms out stretched. Check underneath log at the base of the tree for a royal treat.

To return to parking area continue down a steep hill, taking a sharp left turn to merge with main trail. Stay right on main trail to follow the Lake Shore Trail back to parking area.
Bring your own ink. Yellow, red and green markers are recomended
