BOX MISSING AS OF AUGUST 30, 2008 DUE TO WIND/WATER ELEMENTS. NEED TO REPLACE.
The Park is up Marcey Road off of Military Road in North Arlington, VA. Park at the top of the hill by the comfort station and walk down the road (past the metal gate) to the Nature Center. I suggest getting a map of the park. This is a beautiful hike that will take about 15 minutes to reach the box.

CLUES:
Take the White Trail which begins to the left side of the road in front of the Nature Center. Stay to the left of the "Birds of Prey" sign. At the "T" in the trail, turn right and follow the winding trail. When you get to the green/grey bench, you are about half way to your prize.
At the end of the White Trail, go down hill past the "Non-Native Plant Control Area" and the wood bench. Continue past the white tree with a heart.

Cross over the small two plank bridge and stop. Turn to your left, 180 degrees. Take notice of the location of the "military" tree - hint: one of the four BRANCHES. Turn to your left another 90 degrees and walk approximately 50 feet and across the plank walkway.

Go another 20 ft and go down the rocks. Traverse to the other side.....and immediately turn left. Walk towards all the fallen trees and stop when you are in line with the Military tree. You should now see a dead tree covered with lots of ivy, no branches, about 20 ft tall. At the foot of the tree, you will see a very large piece of bark. Roll it back and you will find your prize!!!

To return to your car, take the trail back up the hill. This is the Brown trail which will lead to the paved road and the Nature Center.
