This Holiday Series is a series of 5 letter boxes that all pay tribute to a wonderful January holiday that we
enjoy. Some of these holidays are traditional holidays and some are not so traditional. All of these boxes
are located off of Hwy 84 between Rusk and Palestine.
I hope that you enjoy this look at some at January holidays.
Box 5 of 5 is a National holiday that most people do not celebrate. It is to be celebrated on January 21st
and is National Hugging Day. So be sure on the 21st to hug everyone you see. This one is located between
Maydelle and Palestine on Hwy 84. From Maydelle take Hwy 84 towards Palestine until you cross the
Neches River. There will be a picnic area on the right. Pull up to the 2nd picnic table and park (it will be
next to a handicapped parking space. Go to the 2nd picnic table and walk North till you get to the fence. Look to your right and you will see a stump that has been sawed off close to the ground. To the right of that stump is a large pine tree right next to the fence. The box is
between the fence and that pine tree under the usual stuff.
Please make sure that this box is well hidden. ENJOY!!
