Ahhh, Cape Cod...what is it that makes Cape Cod so wonderful for letterboxers? Is it the salt air...the flat trails....the lack of snow in winter??? Yes, it's all that...but even more than that....it's the Capers themselves...or more specifically in this case...The Cape Queens. Oh, there had been letterboxes on the Cape before their day but, my oh my, once they got started, letterboxing on the Cape forever changed. So here's to the Cape Queens, long may they reign!

Park in lot and enter trail.
Go a short distance and at fork take a left and then a left again on a small trail. Go past a couple of skinny trees in the path and look right for an oak with a copiced tree to it's right about 8 steps off the trail. Walk to that tree and then take another 12 steps behind that to a large pine. Look for the pine to find the Queen of Carving upon her throne.
Go back to the main trail, go left and proceed.
Take the next trail on the left. Walk over a fallen log and thru a pine doorway. Immediately after the pine doorway there is a fallen log pointing to a skinny twin oak on the right. Look behind the oak to find the Queen of Cleverness, planning her next adventure.
Go back to the main trail and continue along for awhile. You will come to a birch tree that is draping over the trail. Go under and look on the left for a pointed stump that is about 10 feet high with a large fallen log in front of it. Look behind the log and find The Queen of Conundrums, plotting her next mystery box.
Turn and go back the way you came.
You will come to a narrow winding path on the left. Take this trail as it winds along past uprooted trees, broken trees, holly bushes and whatever. Eventually you will pass a giant holly tree and then go uphill to a T intersection. Go right at the T and follow along. You will pass by large pine trees and come to a pond on the left. Just after the large pines look to the right for a downed log off the path. Go off the path and find the Queen of Creativity, delighting us with another treasure.
Now back to the path and continue along. Eventually you will come to an intersection with trees with red arrows painted on them pointing right. Go right and continue along. You will pass by a gigantic twin pine (that becomes a triplet further up, yikes!). At the next intersection continue on to the right, past a large pine with a red dot and arrow on it. At the next intersection to right and look for the left for a large pine with the remnants of a wooden sign nailed to it (ouch). Look behind that pine for the Queen of Clues, crafting her next masterpiece.
Now go back to the intersection and go right (would have been the left before) and continue along. Stay to the left at the next intersection and you will be back to your car in the wave of a wand.
