Our family began our letterboxing experiences today----Jan. 1st, 2007. We enjoyed it so much that we were writing the directions to our own box on the way home. Here it is.
Go to Crosby, Texas to the Newport Subdivision. Turn onto South Diamondhead going into the subdivision. At the second stop sign, turn left onto Afore Street. Go to the next stop sign and turn right onto Poppets Way. Go to the last street on the left which is "Quarter" Way. Take "Quarter" Way and go to the end of the street and park in the culdesac.

Look for a tall oak tree that has vines hanging from it. From the oak, walk straight into the woods (about 10 adult paces) to a sweet gum tree. Once you are at the sweet gum tree, look to your left and you will see 7 trees clumped closely together.

On the back side of the 7 trees, under a big stone, in a plastic container, you'll find our box. Don't forget to put the stone back on top before you leave.
