Nothing Runs like a Deere….

THIS BOX IS TEMPORARILY DOWN - look for it soon, across the street.

You can’t live in Moline very long without hearing about, visiting, or meeting someone who works for John Deere. This letterbox is my way of bringing a little fun and history to your winter days. (although you can visit anytime the center is open). Find your way to downtown Moline Illinois and to the John Deere Collectors Center.

For more information about the Collection Center call (800) 240-5265 or visit http://www.johndeerecollectorsctr.com

Mon thru Fri – 9:00am to 5:00 pm
Sat. 10:00am-5:00pm
Sun. Noon-4:00pm

A very polite manager let me place this box inside the center. Make your way through the gift shop. It contains everything imaginable Deere. I bought my husband a cow-shaped John Deere bank to save for his antique Model-H Tractor. Continue on to the East or Back of the museum, noting the Child-Friendly balcony with climb on equipment and checker sets. The interesting thing about this Collectors Center is that it is ALSO a restoration center. Keep-a-goin to the back of the center where you will find three large doorways opening into three large Bays. One says “Set-up” the middlemost says “Paint Dept.” and the one on the right says “Service Dept.” All suggest you pay in cash.

If you stand in the center- facing the Paint Dept. sign – you will see another sign that reads “Painting Your Used Equipment makes it last longer.” On the left side of the painting booth, you will see Two Brown I-Beams. The letterbox is the little silver disk- shaped box clinging to the horizontal I-Beam with a magnet. In it you will find the corporate Logo of the John Deere Company.

Please pay attention to its location so you can return it to exactly the same spot.
In the children’s area behind the white curtains, find a nice quiet sit-down show – this is a good place for stamping in.
Please replace the box when you are through, making sure the lid is on securely.

Thanks to John Deere for sharing their space with letter boxers!
