My family and I recently relocated to Lamoine from NE Hbr on MDI. Here are some of the neat new places we have found thus far!

Welcome to Lamoine Series: Coleman Mixed Woods
To box:
You can find your way to this box two ways:
From Trenton:
Find your way Lamoine School and Fire Dept on Rt184S by following brown signs to Lamoine State Park via Rt3 in Trenton. Approx.2.0miles after the school and fire department, you will see Asa's Lane on your left. Take a left onto Asa's Lane. Follow Asa's Lane then Needle's Eye Rd. At the stop sign, take a right onto Patridge Cove Rd and drive until the stop sign.

From Rt1 near the Hancock/Ellsworth line:
Follow brown signs to Lamoine State Park until you see Rt204 turn to your left (Pinkham's Flats Rd). Follow Pinkham's Flat then Patridge Cove Rd until it hits a stop sign.

At the stop sign on Patridge Cove Rd take a left onto Seal Point Rd and drive for 1mile until you see Coleman Mixed woods on your left.

This will be an approx 3 minute walk with no elevation. Go into the woods (be sure and pick up a trail map) on the Main Trail. Stop at the bench that marks where the Red Pine Trail starts on the right off the Main Trail. At the point, where the Red Pine trail starts, turn around on the main trail and look back the way you just came, about 10 steps back towards your car. On your left you will see the beginning of a rock wall with two stumps. The stump on your left contains the box you are looking for INSIDE the stump, under a rock.
**THIS AREA IS NOT POSTED AS 'NO HUNTING' SO BE SURE TO WEAR THE APPROPRIATE ORANGE CLOTHING DURING HUNTING SEASON**

Notes:
First, I would highly recommend printing off a "Lamoine Street Map" at www.lamoine-me.gov/Streetmap.htm

Secondly, this is the fifth in a series of Welcome to Lamoine letterboxes. There will be six in total.

Also, you could do the entire 'Welcome to Lamoine Series' in one day if really adventurous and good at using the street map.

Finally, don't forget the clues for another series of boxes placed by me here in Coleman Mixed Woods called "In the Woods"...three additional boxes for the travel time of one!
