Burdette Park
5301 Nurrenbern Road
Evansville, Indiana

A.Nother.Dot was planted for my lifelong friend, Bunny.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a moderately difficult climb—not a long one, but you’ll want to watch your footing. I would recommend waiting for a dry day, as you’ll be dealing with a muddy path and slippery leaves when wet. A walking stick might come in handy as well.

Clues:

From the Lloyd Expressway, take Red Bank Rd. South and follow signs to Burdette Park.

From the main entrance of the park, make an immediate left and park in the gravel lot. Beginning at the Do Not Enter sign, walk about 50 paces (more if you are short like my sister, fewer if you are tall like my brother) until you see a bat house on your right. To your left you will see a scary, possibly haunted, abandoned “staircase” leading up a hill. Climb these stairs when you can, and around them when you can’t. When you get to the bend, turn around. If you see Triangle Island in the distance, you know you are going in the right direction. Continue your climb, with the island at your back. The stairs will curve left, but you want to continue moving forward, toward a large tree just off the path. This is where you will find your treasure.
