We all love a great view. I can remember a time when I would sit wiht my great grandma on her front porch, before game boy,tivo,e-mail,dvd's,ipods....., we would rock and watch. I would ask what we were doing and she would say looking. Her view wasn't spectacular but it was HER'S and she loved it and how it changed each time she sat and rocked, each time she took the time to relax and enjoy her VIEW OF IT ALL !! Letterboxing has given me a great opportunity to enjoy many new VIEWS OF IT ALL....and for that I am greatful. It has taken me back to a time that was slower and I think better. So this letterbox has been placed in the honor of the late Elizabeth Moe a woman who knew the value of a great view and would cheer for the time we all spend looking for the new cherished VIEW OF IT ALL !!!
Come into town and find the street named for the University of the Anteaters. Travel south/southwest along this street. When you start to swerve you are getting close to the capital city of the southern most country in South America, turn left on this street.
After you travel past a constellation find the massive gravitationally bound system of stars, interstellar gas and dust, and dark matter and turn left...this marker may be obstructed by a leafy limb, follow this road till you come to a park on you left. Park and enter the park near the large dog's helper sign, follow the path then go to the right. Here you will pass the single park bench to the right , if you want to sit and enjoy the VIEW OF IT ALL now do so but we all know you want the box then the view. Continue along the path till you come to the wise pine take the small trail to her right , under her branches, and then go left and face her . THIS IS A CLIFF! I am heights challenged so it's not shear or anything but Take care it drops off if you miss your left turn...if you choose the night option walk softly and surely! The letter box is hidden under the shrubs to the left of the wise pine under pine needles and great pinecones...people collect pinecones so no garantee but IF they are there please replace them! The stamp is best in black but you can choose which ever color you wish!
There will be families and people there during the day , it's a great view. The night view is breath taking!!! The lights are beautiful and worth the wait till dark! But there will be eyes upon you then as well , so be careful and discreet. The tree gives great camo ....have fun....ENJOY the VIEW OF IT ALL...have a seat!!
To leave just drive the same road the rest of the way one more block and you will recognize the street name turn right and you will be back out on the first road you came in from!
