“BUTTON” DOWN AND READ. >>>>MISSING<<<< As of 1/31/07 it has been reported missing. I checked on it and I could not find it.

This is a fun little on in my “get to the library” series. Read box #1 for the rest of the story.

Start out by finding the Port Charlotte Library called Mid County Regional Library. (*hint* it is located behind the AM South Bank which is on the corner of US 41 and Forrest Nelson blvd) Park in the library parking lot. Get out and look for the pavilion near the water. Go under the Pavilion and walk along the sidewalk towards the back of the library. It is a nice quiet walk. There are pretty and interesting flowers along this sidewalk and the water is fun to watch. We have alligators in FL in the fresh waters so you may see one if you are lucky. (The water is way below the sidewalk and there is a railing) Now, go back to where you started at the pavilion. Walk through the parking lot til just before you get the bank. You will see a bunch of Oak trees with Palmetto at the base of the trees. Go to the center grouping. (There are 6 oaks in this grouping) look in the center of the trees on the ground. You will have to look for it. It is not covered with leaves or anything but it is not in plain sight. It is a camo box in a Ziploc. Please rehide really well and cover if you have to with palms or something. Please be aware of the people around you as this can be a busy place.

Go in and check out the library. It is a nice building. Maybe even check out a book or 2!
