~Today's walk will bring you on a wonderful new trail in Franklin, CT. You will need to bring markers with you as there are none in the box. This trail seems to get quite wet, so waterproof shoes would be a good idea.

Find your way to Cushman Farm. It is located approximately .8 of a mile east of the Lebanon/Franklin town line on the left side of route 87. Pull in the driveway that leads to the big, red barn. Immediately on your right you will see a yellow and green signboard. Park on the grass here, out of the way.

Take a moment to look at the map on the board. Then proceed in the direction of the arrow. Very quickly, the arrows will have you take a right turn, across route 87 and down a driveway (there are yellow and green blazes painted on the driveway). At the end of the driveway, head to the left side of the field in front of you. Continue walking along the left side of it, staying on the edge of the field. You will curve to the right and then eventually see a wide trail on your left side that leads into the treeline. Take this trail . You will see yellow signs and green and yellow blazes along the way. Follow these along until you come to a sign with a left arrow that says "Cows".

Continue on to see the "girls"/cows. After you have visited with them a spell, start the journey back to your vehicle.

After crossing the bridge, count 27 steps and stop. Look left and you will see the perfect spot for the Cushman Cow to hide.

Continue retracing your steps until you reach your starting point.

We hope you enjoyed this great little walk.
