After living through four New England winters, I feel as if I’ve earned my cabin fever badge of merit. We may not have the same big snowstorms regularly in Texas, but there are many other conditions that may lead to cabin fever: sick kids, car problems, rain, rain and more rain, etc. etc. Today was the first day in about a week in which the weather permitted me to get outside – sunny with temperatures in the upper 50’s.

Clues:
To find the Cabin Fever Letterbox you must make your way to the northwest corner of LD Lockett and Bransford roads in Colleyville (close to Hwy 26). You will see a parking area facing the railroad tracks and a red caboose just across the tracks. Between the parking area and the tracks is a hike/bike trail. Park and take the trail toward Bransford Rd. heading northeast along the tracks crossing the road. Just before you come to the first telephone pole on your left, there will be a clump of trees between the path and the train track. Standing beside this clump, turn around and go back the way you came counting eight yellow lane dividers on the path. Stop on the eighth yellow line and look to your right. You will see a tall tree at the edge of the tree line. Look under the rocks behind the tree for the box.

This is a well traveled path, so please make sure no one is coming before seeking or replacing the box, and make sure it is recovered with the rocks so it will not be discovered!
