I told my brother about the really weird dream I had last night . . .
It started when we walked under the castle bridge.
The fortune teller said, "Pearce, but not Pierce? I see a park . . . Does this make sense to you?" I shrugged and shook my head no.
She moaned and shuttered out, "Avoid the rocks."
"FOURTEEN!!" she screamed. Fourteen what? I wanted to know, but she wouldn't say. She just continued in a blank haze, "Read the sign, be the sign, pass the sign! I can see what you need to do! Don't go to afternoon tee. Don't drink the tea. FORE!"
I was stumped. (You could say that I was sideways stumped in the hollow.) And somehow knowing that made me feel better. We turned around, walked back, and crossed under the castle bridge again. I woke up.
Wow, my brother said. You're right -- that was weird. What do you think it means? I don't know, I replied, but now I want to go play Frisbee.
