To reach this box you must enter the La Purisima Mission State Park. There is a parking fee. You can park outside the park on Mission Gate Road to avoid the fee.
Directions to the box:
(The walk to this letterbox is approximately 1 mile round trip).
Once you have entered the park. You will walk up the dirt/gravel path to the left of the new visitors center. Follow the gravel path until you see a fork in the road. Take the right fork. Continue walking until you see the Spring House on your left. There is a sign that says "Spring House" towards the back of the building as you look down from the path.
Go down the dirt sloped path towards the Spring House. Continue around the spring house to the far side. You will come to a set of adobe steps. Towards the top of the steps, look to your left. You can see a hole with a rock inside. Remove the rock and you should find the letter box.
