It's a kid-friendly area, but not a completely kid-friendly search, so you can bring the kids if someone stays to watch them while another goes on to the last part of the search.
Go to the Visitor Center in Lake Chelan. Ask for BB Park. (Ask "Is BB Park around?" or say "I'm looking for BB Park"--They'll know!)
Once you get those directions, do that first, then find a fake tire. I'm sure they don't manufacture many fake tires, because used tires are so cheap, but here you are.
Climb to the top, and go down the straightest way. Keep going straight into a tree.
Find a silo, and there's a tree lined up with it, walk towards and to that tree.
Stand on something metal nearby, and look around for its brother, then head for that one and stand on it.
Watch the cars go up the hill, left to right. First the cars disappear, then appear, then disappear, then appear, then disappear, then appear. Straight up from the second disappearance is something yellow. What's holding that yellow thing up? Follow it to your shore.
Edit: (From this point in the clues onward I will be specific instead of cryptic 'cause of some of the unsuccesful "attempted"s I feel bad about, which all had a problem with my vagueness in the former end clues. Sorry!)
Head that way. You'll go from grass to concrete to dirt, rubble, and scrubbrush. Go overland towards where the line is over your head. Watch for rattlers! You don't want to climb uphillwards to the big metal thing, nor go downhill to the sea. The easiest route to you being under the line is the one that will lead you there. I hope.
Directly under the first line is a really small cave, about a foot high. Go around back, and the letterbox is under the rubble.
